Tommy Reay was a trainer and driver in his early harness racing career but breeding was his major passion. A prominent breeder in the Hunter Valley for over 60 years, his contribution to the industry is recognised with this 2YO Memorial race series.

Heats are conducted annually during February with a final at Newcastle Paceway run in March.
