STUDLEIGH KRISTEN, WINNER OF THE INAUGURAL HARNESS BREEDERS NSW LADYSHIP PACE

The first of the Harness Breeders NSW Ladyship Pace Mares Race Series was run on Thursday evening the 15th of February 2018 at Penrith / Club Paceway.

The race was won by the talented 5 year old mare STUDLEIGH KRISTEN, a daughter of KENNETH J from the VILLAGE JASPER mare INNOCENT JASPER.

This win was a real family affair as STUDLEIGH KRISTEN is trained by Leigh Davis, driven by his son Jake and owned by R Davis.

The Davis Clan are seventh generation Dairy Farmers and the proud proprietors of Studleigh Dairy Farm and Studleigh Pacing Stables at Browns Creek in NSW.

STUDLEIGH KRISTEN was bred by Brooklyn Lodge, Aberdeen the Davis Clan purchased “Kristen” as a yearling, broke her in but considered her too immature to race as a 2 year old. She won her first start as a 3 year old and was never unplaced throughout her 3 year old career. She continues to be a very consistent race mare – her half-brother BRAD'S LUCK also raced and won the second race on the same night.
