For Artificial Breeding Technicians to be able to perform the restricted act of veterinary science of artificial insemination in Standardbred horses in New South Wales, they must be licensed by Harness Racing NSW and Accredited by the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW.

This licensing and accreditation is reviewed annually and the accreditation is in accordance with the Veterinary Practice Regulation 2013 cl 5(a)..
