Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, HBNSW was unable to hold an Annual Awards Night to celebrate our Award Winners.
As we were lucky enough to continue racing throughout Covid, the Awards have been calculated and the winners are:

It is with pleasure The Committee of Harness Breeders New South Wales announce the recipient of the 2019-2020 Harness Breeders New South Wales Don Cough Award - Mr Mark Croatto, Breeder Owner, Administrator and passionate Harness Racing Fan!
Following a long and distinguished career of service in the NSW Police, Mark Croatto began his involvement with the sport of Harness Racing in 1980 with a shared ownership in his first standardbred racehorse, he soon caught the “Breeding Bug “and to date has enjoyed the thrill of Breeding, Nurturing ,Owning and Racing winners of more than 70 races, his best performed horse Outlaw Fella a son of Artistic Fella from Tinted Rose.
Mark ‘s involvement in the Administration / Management of Harness Racing began with the Goulburn Harness Race Club in 2003, Executive Committee member, Secretary/ Manager since 2007,Treasurer from 2017 and Representative of the Goulburn Harness Racing Club on the Harness Racing Clubs Committee (HRCC) since 2008.
Mark was elected and served with distinction as:
Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the HRCC between 2014 and 2021.
Representative of the HRCC on the Harness Racing Industry Consultative Group (HRICG) between 2017- 2021.
Chairman of HRICG from 2017 – 2021.
Mark Croatto personifies integrity, service and dedication to the sport of Harness Racing, all qualities essential to being bestowed Harness Breeders most distinguished accolade The Don Clough Award.
